Over 70 Patients Underwent Free BMD Testing at Camp

Udaipur, December 20: A free BMD (Bone Mineral Density) testing camp was organized on Friday by the Arogya Samiti Rajkiya Adarsh Ayurveda Aushdhalaya, Sindhi Bazaar, Udaipur, in collaboration with Jandu Pharma. Over 70 patients underwent bone health testing at the camp.

The camp, which was held from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, provided advice on bone-related health issues to the attendees. In addition to consultations, necessary medicines were also distributed.

Senior Ayurveda Officer and In-charge Vaidya Shobhalal Audichya stated that for calcium supplementation, certain foods should be included in the diet. He recommended fruits and vegetables like papaya, banana, apple, orange, grapes, spinach, fenugreek, and cauliflower, as well as dairy products, dry fruits, pulses, and grains, including ragi, millet, rice, wheat flour, soybeans, and urad dal.

The purpose of the camp was to raise awareness about bone-related issues such as arthritis, osteoporosis, and vitamin D deficiency, while providing appropriate treatment to the patients.
