Art Camp Concludes with Grand Display of Creative Works

Udaipur: The two All India Art Camps, held for the past six days at the Takhaman-28 Art Complex, concluded on Wednesday with a grand exhibition of the new creations of 42 artists from across the country. The exhibition, organized in the institution's own art gallery, showcased innovative works by renowned artists such as Deepak Shinde, Charan Sharma, Padma Shri Premjeet Baria, Rajendra Patil, Santosh Verma, Vinod Sharma, Satish Vavre, Manhar Kapadia, Narendra Patel, Vidyasagar Upadhyay, Meenu Srivastava, Rekha Bhatnagar, Sudhakar Belekar, and many local artists. The event was inaugurated by renowned artist Suresh Sharma and Prof. Shail Choyal, who lit the ceremonial lamp.

The exhibited works captured the attention of both artists and art enthusiasts, inspiring them with various pictorial elements. The camp was organized in collaboration with the Western Regional Culture Center, Udaipur, and the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Rajasthan. The participating artists created works in their unique styles, sharing their creative experiences. The six-day artistic atmosphere culminated in an extraordinary and enjoyable display of talent.

Notable works included a large canvas (60/54") by Deepak Shinde from Mumbai, where he created a world of semi-abstraction with a deep color scheme and transparent layers of paint. The layers attracted viewers to continue engaging with the piece. Rajendra Patil, also from Mumbai, explored the mixed conflict of hope and fear from the past in his works, with multiple layers of color seamlessly merging to express these emotions.

The exhibition displayed a variety of mediums including paintings, ceramics, graphics, and drawings, showcasing diverse expressions, moods, and forms. Secretary Sandeep Paliwal highlighted the special support provided by Mr. Furkan Khan, Commissioner of the Western Regional Culture Center, in encouraging the artists and the art institution. The exhibition will remain open for public viewing until March 14.
