Approval of Estimated Proposals Under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana

Udaipur: A special general meeting of the District Council was held at the District Council hall on Wednesday, presided over by District Chief Mrs. Mamta Kunwar, with the Chief Guest, Minister of Tribal Regional Development, Mr. Babulal Kharadi. The meeting also saw the attendance of Salumber MLA Shanta Devi. During the meeting, approval was granted for estimated proposals under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana – Phase IV.

The Chief Executive Officer of the District Council, Riya Dabi, welcomed the guests and informed that the meeting was convened following the orders of the Additional Chief Secretary of the Public Works Department and the Secretary of the Panchayati Raj Department. The proposals for the PMGSY Phase IV were discussed and approved. Public Works Department engineers from Udaipur and Salumber presented the road proposals for their respective regions, detailing the construction of 141 roads over 346.30 kilometers in Udaipur with an estimated cost of ₹26,380 lakhs and 59 roads covering 129.5 kilometers in Salumber for ₹9,086 lakhs.

The members also raised concerns about some villages whose populations met the criteria for inclusion under the scheme but were excluded due to the 2011 Census data. They urged Cabinet Minister Mr. Kharadi to address the mobility issues of these villages, to which he assured that appropriate action would be taken.

**Minister Kharadi Highlights Pending Road Projects Due to Forest Clearance**  
In the meeting, Mr. Babulal Kharadi directed the officials to focus on road projects delayed due to the wait for forest department clearances. He emphasized resolving district-level issues through discussions with the District Collector, and preparing a list of cases that need to be addressed at the state level.
