District Sets ₹14,125 Crore Loan Target for 2025-26

Udaipur: The District Level Review Committee meeting of Margdarshi Bank was held on Thursday at the District Council Hall under the chairmanship of District Collector Namit Mehta. During the meeting, the Annual Credit Plan for the financial year 2025-26 was launched and approved. A loan distribution target of ₹14,125 crore has been set for the district for the upcoming financial year. 

The meeting discussed key aspects, including the district's deposit-advance figures, loan achievements in priority sectors, credit-deposit ratio, agricultural loans, and the progress of loan applications under various central and state government schemes. 

Rajesh Jain, the Lead District Manager, informed that the meeting had reviewed the proper utilization of available resources to boost economic growth. He mentioned that the banks in the district have been allocated a loan distribution target of ₹14,125 crore for priority sectors in the 2025-26 financial year. He also provided details of the current fiscal year’s performance, noting that as of December 31, 2024, banks had achieved ₹9,626 crore, which is 81% of the target of ₹11,915 crore. 

District Collector Namit Mehta urged all bank officials to prioritize government welfare schemes and assist the public in becoming self-reliant by providing loans. Gaurav Dhoot, the Reserve Bank of India’s Lead District Officer, directed banks to improve the credit-deposit ratio, increase loan flow to the agricultural sector, and ensure the completion of all government scheme targets.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Collector Administration, Deependra Singh Rathore, NABARD District Development Manager Neeraj Yadav, Regional Manager of the State Bank of India Lakshmidhara, Regional Manager of RMGB K.K. Gupta, Director of RSETI Amar Dixit, Joint Director of Agriculture (Extension) Sudhir Verma, GM of District and Commerce Center Shailendra Sharma, Deputy Director of Women Empowerment Department Sanjay Joshi, District Project Manager of Anuja Nigam Mandhata Singh Ranawat, District Project Manager of Municipal Corporation Jyoti Bala Parmar, Rajeevika officers, along with representatives from various banks operating in the district and other government-supported loan scheme departments.
