The tradition of the Kanwar Yatra is proudly celebrated everywhere

These days, the whole country is immersed in the fervor of the monsoon festival and the worship of Lord Shiva. The tradition of the Kanwar Yatra is proudly celebrated everywhere. Whether it's the sacred Jyotirlingas or the humble Shivalayas in villages and cities, the abundance of Kanwadis is evident.

The bond between Kanwar and Sawan (the month of Shravan) is timeless. It pervades all aspects of life, from religious ceremonies to governance and administration. From the Prime Minister to Chief Ministers, ministers to security personnel, and leaders to common people, Kanwar maintains its presence in various forms. The louder the Kanwar, the more joy and happiness it brings. The divine governance and administration of Lord Shiva are always pleased with Kanwads.

Everywhere you look, you see individuals embodying the spirit of Kanwar, wearing symbolic attire and showcasing artificial humility. Leaders appease their higher authorities, and workers show reverence to their superiors, following the mantra of respect. Even the most meek and subservient individuals put sheep to shame with their flattery.

In the realm of democracy, those who seek favor from self-proclaimed public leaders, bureaucrats relishing in their positions, secretaries serving ministers, and various officials vying for recognition, engage in battles to elevate their stature. Many groups have become experts in the art of flattery, emulating the Kanwar's actions. For them, the entire year becomes a joyous Sawan.

These individuals who showcase humility akin to Kanwar in the presence of courtiers and officials stand tall and straight when facing the common people, as if preparing to receive accolades. In this world, everyone is parading as a Kanwar, from the Secretariats to the Gram Panchayats. Some carry the burden of files, while others strive to please their bosses or senior officers. The heavier the Kanwar, the more their desires are fulfilled. And now, the trend of creating flexible, amusing, and satirical figures in the name of Kanwar is also increasing.

These days, there is an increase in Kanwars filled with donations. The larger the suitcase, the more hospitable the Kanwariyas become. Some perform Jalabhishek (ritualistic pouring of water) without actual water. Some even conceal sackcloth beneath their turbans and caps, making it impossible for a single drop of water to touch their heads. Like polytheists, they echo messages about water, while also discussing character, culture, and humanity.

Several groups of officers and employees have become experts in Kanwar worship. They proudly proclaim, "We carry the burden of the entire world," and tirelessly work to ensure the smooth functioning of the system. Typically, it takes four or five people to achieve their goals, but now one or two are sufficient.

Among the various types of Kanwars, the true Kanwariyas are those who fulfill their responsibilities with honesty and dedication, embodying the spirit of Kanwar themselves. These individuals are taken advantage of by the cunning and thrive on the trust of these sincere individuals.

From politics to the corridors of power and governance, the Kanwar Yatra continues daily. Kanwariyas bring their burdens and gladly offer them to these unsuspecting souls, knowing well what they will receive in return. The magnificence of this exchange is beyond words.

We are well aware of the administrative plunderers who enjoy the offerings of Kanwad, and their misdeeds, tricks, and exploits are exposed daily. These reveal their interests, hobbies, and tendencies.

Cars adorned with red, blue, and yellow lights, government privileges, and air-conditioned rooms have been the bathing ground for these caste-based Kanwadis for decades. Only they know the true address of the monsoon. For the past few decades, these Kanwariyas have had a stronghold on the government, and every Kanwar is reaping the rewards. Some carry the weight of suitcases, while others bear the burden of files.

From ministers who project themselves as devout followers of Bajrangi to saffron-clad politicians who exploit religious sentiment for the sake of vote banks, many pretend to be religious. These hypocrites infiltrate the realm of Hindutva to gain favor from voters. Some even proudly participate in the Kanwar Yatra, highlighting how much Kanwar aids their devotion. Keep your eyes open, and you will see these Kanwariyas everywhere. Learn from them and appease your superiors. Because where there is Kanwar, there is Sawan. We can enjoy the festivities of Sawan throughout the year, where everything is lush green and filled with the spirit of the monsoon.
