Youth Festival Aarohan to Debut in Udaipur

Udaipur. For the first time, a two-day youth festival, "Aarohan," will be organized on December 24-25 at the Mohanlal Sukhadia University campus in Udaipur. This unique festival, aimed at inspiring the youth to take a step forward towards comprehensive national development, is being jointly organized by the Divine India Youth Association (DIYA) Rajasthan, UNICEF, and Mohanlal Sukhadia University at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium. The event is expected to witness the participation of more than 8,000 young individuals.


The Vision and Mission of DIYA
Lokesh Sharma, Provincial Coordinator of the Rajasthan Committee of DIYA, shared that the association was founded as a confluence of spirituality and science by Dr. Pranav Pandya, Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Its mission is to build a strong, empowered, and self-reliant nation by fostering educated, healthy, self-reliant, cultured, and sensitive youth.

Four Months of Preparation
Pranay Tripathi, the coordinator of Aarohan Festival, stated that DIYA volunteers have been engaging with colleges across Udaipur and nearby districts over the past four months to encourage participation. Awareness was also raised through social media platforms, resulting in significant interest and online registrations from youth across the country.

December 24: Competitions and Inauguration
On the first day, December 24, a state-level competition of the Indian Culture Knowledge Exam will be held among district-winning teams from Rajasthan colleges. Additionally, debates, extempore speeches, poster-making, and other creative competitions will be organized. The inauguration will take place at 5 PM, featuring guests like MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat, Pacific University President B.P. Sharma, and Vice-Chancellor Sunita Mishra, who will participate in the Bharat Mata Poojan ceremony. Highlights of the opening ceremony include a dance drama on the Battle of Haldighati, musical yoga performances, and the unveiling of a commemorative publication.

December 25: Discussions and Sessions on Youth
The second day, December 25, will feature discussions and interactive sessions addressing challenges faced by youth in health, relationships, careers, and values. Experts will present practical and spiritual solutions for a balanced life. Activities such as music, art, yoga, book exhibitions, de-addiction exhibits, and cultural galleries will serve as additional attractions for the participants.

Closing Session and Key Highlights
The closing session, scheduled for 5 PM on December 25, will commence with a garlanding of the Swami Vivekananda statue by Dr. Chinmay Pandya, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. Guests, including Minister Hemant Meena, MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat, and other dignitaries, will address the youth. The event will feature performances such as motivational songs by Sa Re Ga Ma Pa winner Ishita Vishwakarma, a play on youth empowerment by the Natyaansh group, and the release of the DIYA Diary. Winners of the Indian Culture Knowledge Exam will also be felicitated.

The festival is being organized under the guidance of DIYA Udaipur Unit's Ramesh Asawa, Provincial Advisory Committee Coordinator Prof. Vivek Vijay from IIT Jodhpur, and Prof. Baludan Barhat from Mohanlal Sukhadia University. Volunteers from across Rajasthan, Mumbai, and other parts of the country are contributing to the event, with all participants receiving commemorative souvenirs.
