An inaugural ceremony was held at the Bappa Rawal Auditorium to welcome the new batch of students enrolled in the four-year integrated course and the two-year B.Ed. course in the Faculty of Education, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp in front of the image of Goddess Saraswati. Prof. Sunita Mishra, Vice-Chancellor of MLSU, extended her best wishes to the attendees. The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Prof. M.P. Sharma, Retired Faculty from Vidya Bhawan, Prof. Meera Mathur, Director and Head of the Management Faculty, Prof. Digvijay Bhatnagar, Head of the Education Faculty, and Dr. Alpana Singh, Head of the Faculty of Education.
The purpose of the ceremony was to introduce new students to the environment of higher education and to prepare them to face upcoming challenges. The event emphasized the importance of education, values, and discipline, while providing a platform for interaction with teachers and senior students.
Prof. M.P. Sharma, as the chief guest, shared his insights on the keys to success in higher education, stressing the importance of self-confidence, hard work, and time management. The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Alpana Singh, who greeted the new students and familiarized them with the institution's rules and achievements.
Prof. Meera Mathur highlighted various aspects of life, including discipline and leadership development, urging students to become self-reliant. A question-answer session followed, where senior faculty and guests addressed the students' queries, helping them clarify their doubts and concerns.
Prof. Digvijay Bhatnagar emphasized the significance of discipline, punctuality, and cultural values. The event also featured cultural performances by students, including dance and singing presentations.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Kumud Purohit, who expressed gratitude to the guests, teachers, and students and extended best wishes for the future. The event was coordinated by Dr. Sapna Mavatwal.
