The Lifeblood of All Industries - Forum Badani

Udaipur:  The College of Community and Applied Sciences, a constituent of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Packaging, Ahmedabad Center, and with financial support from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, organized an online webinar on "Career Prospects in the Field of Packaging."

Dean Dr. Dhriti Solanki welcomed the participants, stating that the webinar would help them determine career prospects and opportunities after graduation by pursuing courses in packaging.

Event Secretary Dr. Gayatri Tiwari, In-charge of the Placement Cell, introduced the topic, emphasizing that there is no industry where packaging is not essential. She highlighted the importance of raising awareness about such courses to prepare the new generation for economic self-reliance alongside other professions.

The keynote speaker, Ms. Forum Badani, Assistant Director at IIP, delivered a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation detailing the necessity, objectives, significance, and types of packaging. She emphasized that packaging is crucial for the future, protecting products from microbes, air, moisture, and toxic substances. Packaging safeguards products from damage caused by factors like dropping, crushing, transportation vibrations, and environmental, magnetic, electrostatic, or shock-related impacts. Participants actively engaged in the session.

The session was coordinated by Dr. Amit Singla, Joint Director and Head of the Department, and Dr. Sneha Jain. The webinar concluded with a vote of thanks from Technical Officer and Coordinator Mr. Rinkesh.
