Udaipur, A one-day seminar on "My India, My Youth" was organized by the Directorate of Student Welfare, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The event commenced with an inauguration by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka and Dr. Sindhu Prakash Bhatnagar, Regional Director of National Service Scheme (NSS) Rajasthan.
The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp in front of Goddess Saraswati, followed by a warm welcome from Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahla, who honored the guests with traditional attire and floral bouquets. In his welcome address, Dr. Mahla greeted the NSS program officers from various colleges across Rajasthan, as well as the chief guests Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, Dr. Sindhu Prakash Bhatnagar, Dr. Anupam Bhatnagar, Dean of CTAE, and Dr. Lokesh Gupta, Dean of CDFT. He emphasized the need for national awakening and utilizing youth energy for the nation’s benefit.
Dr. Anupam Bhatnagar, Dean of CTAE, highlighted the government's "My Youth India" portal, which aims to support youth startups and development. He stressed the importance of integrating college activities with the service scheme for national utility.
Dr. Sindhu Prakash Bhatnagar, Regional Director of NSS, elaborated on the portal's activities and the objectives and outcomes of the training program.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, Vice-Chancellor, described the program as a catalyst for harnessing youth energy for nation-building, drawing inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s ideals of personality and nation development. He encouraged youth to contribute to the progress of the nation, aligning with the vision of a developed India by 2047.
The seminar concluded with expressions of gratitude from Dr. Lokesh Gupta, Dean of Dairy Science and Food Technology College, who assured that the knowledge gained would be shared with students to guide the nation’s development. The event was conducted by Dr. Gayatri Tiwari from the Department of Community and Applied Sciences.
Dr. Komal Singh, Dr. Dinesh Gupta, Dr. Saurabh, and other dignitaries were present. The training was provided by Dr. Junaid Khan and Meenakshi from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and 61 program officers from various government and private colleges in Udaipur participated in the event. Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahla, Program Director of NSS, Student Welfare Directorate, and Shri Som Shekhar Vyas, among others, were also present.
