21st Non-Teaching Staff Vice-Chancellor’s Chalvaijayanti Sports Competition

Udaipur: On the third day of the 21st Non-Teaching Staff Vice-Chancellor’s Chalvaijayanti Sports Competition, hosted at the CTAE sports ground under the joint supervision of Maharana Pratap Agricultural and Technology University, Udaipur’s Central Non-Teaching Staff Association, and the Non-Teaching Staff Welfare Committee of the College of Technology and Engineering (CTAE), the host CTAE team dominated all the games.

Dr. Pankaj Upadhyay, Principal of CTAE, mentioned that the results of the various games held on the third day were as follows:

1. **Volleyball:** The match between CTAE and the joint team of CDFT-CCAS-CCPC saw CTAE emerge victorious.
2. **Football:** In the first match, CTAE defeated RCA 4-3 in a penalty shootout. In the second match, the Administrative Office team won 3-1 against the joint team of CDFT-CCAS-CCPC.
3. **Basketball:** The second semifinal match between the Administrative Office and CTAE ended with CTAE winning. The final basketball match will be between RCA and CTAE.
4. **Kabaddi:** The final match between RCA and the joint team of CDFT-CCAS-CCPC saw RCA winning.
5. **Tug of War:** The first round of matches was held.
6. **Athletics:** In the 100m and 400m sprints, Lovepreet Naukbal from RCA secured first place. In Shot Put, Devaraj from the Property Office came first, and in Long Jump, Rakesh Yadav from the Extension Directorate won first place.

During the competitions, Dr. Lokesh Gupta, Dean of CDFT; Dr. Subhash Meena, Director of Procurement and Distribution Research Directorate; Assistant Registrar Dr. S.K. Khandelwal; and retired staff members including NTSA Patron Karan Singh Shaktawat, Narpat Singh Purohit, and Shakur Mohammad Mansuri visited the sports ground to observe the competitions and encouraged the player staff.

Event Coordinator and Welfare President of CTAE, Geetesh Jain, informed that the final day of the 21st Non-Teaching Staff Vice-Chancellor’s Chalvaijayanti Sports Competition will feature the final football match between CTAE and the Administrative Office. The final matches for volleyball and tug-of-war will also be held.

**Closing Ceremony and Prize Distribution:**
Sports Minister Irshad Mohammad announced that the closing ceremony of the sports competition will be held on January 10, 2025, at 3:30 PM at the CTAE sports ground. The Chief Guest will be the University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, while Dr. Anupam Bhatnagar, Dean of CTAE, will preside over the ceremony. Other distinguished guests will include Dr. Arvind Verma, Director of Research, University; Dr. Lokesh Gupta, Dean of CDFT; Dr. R.B. Dubey, Dean of RCA; Dr. R.P. Meena, Dean of Agricultural College, Dungarpur; Dr. Dhriti Solanki, Dean of CCAS; and Dr. Manoj Mahla, Officer of Student Welfare.

Secretary Manoj Agarwal informed that during the closing ceremony, trophies will be presented to the winning teams by the Chief Guest, distinguished guests, and the President. Player staff will also be awarded mementos and certificates. Additionally, retired staff players will be honored with mementos and shawls by the Central Non-Teaching Staff Association of the University.
