Udaipur, March 19: A divisional workshop for stakeholders and voluntary organizations, themed "Each Effort, Rajasthan's Development," was held at the Directorate of Extension Education Auditorium on Wednesday. The aim of the workshop was to create a long-term vision document for "Developed Rajasthan 2047," which is part of the state mission under the guidance of NITI Aayog, New Delhi. Rajasthan Institute of Transformation and Innovation (RITI) organized the workshop with around 100 participants from the Udaipur division.
The workshop was coordinated by the Knowledge Institute (LKI) of Rajasthan University, Jaipur. The opening session was graced by Dr. I.G. Mathur, former Director of Extension Education, who emphasized the importance of such workshops in shaping the future vision of Rajasthan. He spoke about the need to plan for the state’s development across nine key sectors: economy and financial management, agriculture and allied sectors, industry and infrastructure, drinking water and irrigation, social sectors, science and emerging fields, urban development, employment and skill development, and green transition, including the power sector.
District head Mamta Kunwar Panwar, who presided over the event, stressed the importance of preparing a roadmap for Rajasthan to contribute to India's vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. She emphasized strategies for economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and providing quality education, healthcare, skills development, and proper housing to every family.
The workshop was welcomed by Dr. Anshu Bhardwaj, Nodal Officer and Professor at Rajasthan University, Jaipur. She highlighted that similar divisional workshops had been previously held in Ajmer, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Kota. The final workshop will take place at the state level in Jaipur, where the vision, mission, and challenges of "Developed Rajasthan 2047" will be discussed in detail to develop and implement strategies.
In the technical session, several experts shared their insights on different sectors. Mr. Vidya Vinod Nandawat, former GM (Finance) of Hindustan Zinc Ltd, discussed economic and financial management; Mr. Anil Mehta, President of Lake Conservation Committee, focused on drinking water and irrigation; Mr. Kailash Brijwasi discussed the social sector; Mr. Mahendra Singh Parihar covered urban development; Mr. Sanjay Nagpal elaborated on employment and skill development. Dr. Vikramaditya Dave presented on the energy sector, Mr. Manish Godha talked about science and technology, and Mr. Nitesh Tripathi discussed the industrial sector. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Piyush Prasad Jani, and the session was conducted by Shreya Bhatt and Meghna Kataria.
