###NIMS University Pays Tribute to Kargil Martyrs on Vijay Diwas

Jaipur,  On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, NIMS University, Jaipur organized a lecture and tribute ceremony at the Nursing College. Pro-Chancellor Prof. Amarika Singh paid homage to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for Mother India.

In his address, Prof. Amarika Singh stated, “Kargil Vijay Diwas is a symbol of the valor and courage of the Indian Army. The victory of the Indian Armed Forces on the heights of Kargil in 1999 highlighted their unwavering commitment and dedication to protecting our motherland. Today, we remember the martyrs who sacrificed their lives defending the independence and integrity of our nation. Their heroism and sacrifice will always remain a source of inspiration.”

Prof. R.K. Saini, Principal of NIMS College of Nursing, discussed the inclusion of NCC in the curriculum under the new education policy, which will provide the younger generation an opportunity to imbibe the valor of the Indian Army.

On this occasion, trees were planted under the sentiment "A Tree in the Name of Mother India" to make the memory of the martyrs everlasting.

Teachers, staff, and students from various departments of the university participated in the ceremony, observing two minutes of silence in memory of the martyrs.

The program concluded with prayers for the peace of the martyrs' souls and paying tribute to them. Through this event, NIMS University expressed its deep respect and remembrance for the brave soldiers of Mother India and their sacrifices.

During the event, Principal of NIMS College of Nursing Prof. R.K. Saini, Vice-Principal Prof. Maharaj Singh, Prof. Monika Yadav, Prof. Shailesh Kumari, NCC CEO Dr. Mamta Yadav, along with NCC and NSS cadets, were present.
