Third Season of PIMS Mewar Cup: Mewar Tourism Club and Delhi Challengers Win Matches

Udaipur: The third season of the PIMS Mewar Cup, being held at the Field Club ground in Lake City, saw Mewar Tourism Club and Delhi Challengers securing victories in the matches played on Monday. This year, international, national, and IPL players will also be seen hitting fours and sixes in the Mewar Cup. Following the success of the previous year's event, the third edition of the tournament is being organized under the sponsorship of PIMS Hospital Umrada and Mirage Pipe and Fittings.

Organizers Naman Agrawal and Kuldeep Ameria shared that the T20 competition at the Field Club began with the first match in the morning, where Udaipur Cricket Academy posted a total of 172 runs, losing 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Bhanu Puniya contributed 42 runs from 37 balls, while Rohan Rajbhar made 35 runs from 24 balls. In reply, Mewar Tourism Club achieved the target in just 15.1 overs, losing 2 wickets. Tejendra Dillo played a key role, scoring 70 runs from 35 balls, and Sunil Godara contributed 69 runs from 41 balls. Tejendra Singh was awarded the Man of the Match.

Organizers Chandrapal Singh Chundawat and Harshit Dabhai informed that in the second match, Delhi Challengers scored 230 runs, losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Survansh Raina made a notable contribution with 69 runs, and Karan Sharma scored 65 runs. In response, Udaipur Lakecity Warriors were bowled out for 145 runs in 19.5 overs. Shiva Singh took three wickets, while Rahul Chahar and Abhimanyu claimed two wickets each. Survansh Raina was named the Man of the Match.

The competition features teams from Liberty, PIMS, MPC, Delhi Challengers, Udaipur Lakecity Warriors, Udaipur Cricket Academy, Adityam Real Estate, and GR Cricket Academy. International cricketers like Deepak Hooda, Rahul Chahar, Navdeep Saini, Ravi Bishnoi, Rajat Patidar, Yash Dhull, Suyash Prabhu Desai, Ayush Badoni, Jitesh Sharma, and Ashutosh Sharma will also be seen showcasing their skills with both bat and ball. A lucky draw will be held every day, and on the final day, the selected individual will win an electric scooter. The winning team will receive a cash prize of five lakh rupees, while the runner-up will be awarded three lakh rupees. The first six matches will be played at the Field Club ground, with the semifinals and final at Mirage Cricket Stadium in Nathdwara.
