Spandan Cultural Festival 2024

Udaipur,  The "Spandan 2024" cultural festival at Pacific Medical University created a vibrant atmosphere with spectacular dance performances, soulful singing, and a fashion show that captivated everyone. Over 500 students from the university participated in the event, showcasing their talents. The students' powerful dance performances to remix songs got the audience grooving, making the event a memorable celebration of art and culture. The festival provided an excellent platform for students to express their love for their cultural heritage and showcase their creativity.

The festival was inaugurated by the university's Chairperson Rahul Agarwal, President Dr. M.M. Mangal, Dean of PMC Dr. Ummed Singh Parihar, Principal of the Dental College Dr. Ravi Kumar, Dean of the Nursing College Dr. K.C. Yadav, Dr. Zafar Khan from the Physiotherapy College, Principal of the Occupational Therapy College Dr. Vishal Sharma, Dr. Abhishek Sharma from the Paramedical College, Assistant Dean of Student Welfare Neeraj Chaplot, and Program Coordinator Dr. Isha Srivastava. The dignitaries performed the lighting of the lamp and garlanded the idol of Goddess Saraswati to mark the occasion.

During the event, Chairperson Rahul Agarwal addressed the students, highlighting the importance of extracurricular activities alongside academics. He emphasized that cultural programs and sports play a significant role in the overall development of students, not only providing mental peace but also enhancing their personality.

President Dr. M.M. Mangal also praised the event, noting that in today's world, a student's development should not be limited to textbooks alone. It is essential to ensure that students are well-versed in every form of art, so they are better equipped to face the challenges of the future.

This year’s Spandan 2024 featured various cultural competitions, including solo dance, solo song, group dance, and a fashion show. Students exhibited their talents in these events, filling the atmosphere with energy and enthusiasm.

In the solo dance category, Akshaya secured first place, Suraj Soni came second, while Akansha and Prachi tied for third. In group dance, Lavina & Group bagged the first prize, followed by Nayo & Group in second, and Sagar and Sahil in third. In solo singing, Uved took first place, Avish came second, and Kashyap & Hitanshu shared third place.

One of the most exciting parts of the program was the fashion show, where students presented a stunning blend of traditional and modern Indian attire. The judges declared Aryan Menaria and Dr. Grishma as the winners of the fashion show, with Parmpreet and Mansi Salve being chosen as the runners-up.

In the final segment, students from all the colleges of Pacific Medical University showcased their artistic skills, leaving the audience spellbound. The event was a true celebration of creativity, culture, and student talent.
