Udaipur : The Time Bank of India Udaipur unit organized its monthly meeting and medical camp at Pacific Medical College and Hospital under the chairmanship of Mr. Rahul Agarwal. On this occasion, K.K. Gupta, K.K. Sharma, Dr. M.G. Varshney, Prof. Vimal Sharma, and M.K. Mathur honored Mr. Agarwal with a ceremonial shawl.
During the medical camp, 112 senior members underwent free health check-ups, including Echo Screening, ECG, Chest X-ray, Abdominal Sonography, Complete Blood and Urine Analysis. Additionally, mammography and Pap smear tests were conducted for women to detect potential health issues.
Mr. Rahul Agarwal expressed his gratitude, stating that serving senior citizens is a privilege. He announced that in case of emergency situations where a Time Bank member needs to stay overnight with a patient, the hospital will provide free accommodation and food as part of its humanitarian commitment.
A special session on "Healthy Life Through Lifestyle Changes" was conducted by Prof. Dr. Jayesh Trivedi from the Medicine Department. He highlighted that India has unfortunately become the diabetes capital of the world, which can be controlled through a healthy routine and balanced diet. He emphasized the importance of 30 minutes of daily walking, limited salt intake, balanced meals, avoiding fatty and heavy foods, and practicing yoga and meditation for better health.
Media Coordinator Prof. Vimal Sharma informed that all members arrived fasting at 8 AM for medical tests, which were conducted by 15 doctors and technicians. Post-breakfast, the examinations continued. The monthly meeting also welcomed new members, and Pacific Medical College and Hospital was thanked for sponsoring the event.
The event was successfully organized with the efforts of Aman Agarwal, Sharad Kothari, Shankar Sukhwal, K.K. Gupta, M.K. Mathur, K.K. Sharma, and Dr. M.G. Varshney. The program concluded with a delightful meal.
