Pacific University Hosts Three-Day Orientation Program to Enhance Employability Skills for MBA Students

Udaipur, Pacific University's Faculty of Management has commenced the third semester academic session for MBA students with a three-day orientation program focused on enhancing employability skills. The program aimed to prepare students for their future careers by familiarizing them with professional aspects relevant to their fields.

On the first day, Dean Professor Dipin Mathur motivated the students, urging them to prepare diligently for the future and to identify their strengths and weaknesses to shine in a competitive environment. He emphasized the importance of personal branding and encouraged students to work hard to enhance their personalities, citing examples of overcoming challenges and achieving goals.

The first day featured a session on digital marketing strategies conducted by expert Chandrashekhar Joshi. Students learned about developing and implementing digital marketing strategies. Additionally, academic sessions included film reviews by Vivek Sharma to teach management principles and role-playing activities by Dr. Kulvinder Kaur and Dr. Jaya Sharma, which helped students understand team coordination and group dynamics through management games.

On the second day, Nimmi Mathew, Finance Manager at Major Trader and Engineering, conducted a session on financial planning and wealth creation. The second session was led by P.P. Bhattacharya, General Manager at TempSens Instruments Private Limited, who discussed corporate readiness, highlighting essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making. The third session, led by Company Secretary Rajeev Babel, provided an informative discussion on various financial instruments.

The third day focused on professional communication and team-building activities led by HR Manager Anshika Parashar. She discussed effective communication strategies and team-building techniques necessary for achieving organizational objectives.

The orientation program for MBA second-year students, held from August 29 to 31, 2024, was a well-thought-out and designed initiative guided by the faculty team. The opening ceremony included a lamp-lighting ritual and was aimed at inspiring students to realize their dreams and leverage the extensive facilities provided by the institution in both academic and non-academic fields, including research.

The training included sessions on bridging the gap from campus to corporate life and workshops on employability skills. The program sought to familiarize students with new dimensions of entrepreneurship and employment. The coordinators of the program were Dr. Khushboo Agarwal and Dr. Gaurav Kumar Joshi.
