Udaipur, The Department of ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) at Pacific Medical College and Hospital organized the PG Conclave 2024. The one-day workshop focused on the role of bronchoscopy in the treatment of ear, nose, and throat diseases, along with discussions on modern techniques and exchanges of ideas. ENT specialists from across the state participated in the event.
The Conclave 2024 was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Richa Gupta, Head of the ENT Department, and Dr. Shiv Shankar Kaushik, Associate Professor. Dr. Kaushik led an in-depth discussion on bronchoscopy, explaining that it is a life-saving procedure, especially for young children, where foreign objects lodged in the respiratory tract are quickly removed.
Dr. Mahesh Kattimany, Dr. Shweta Anand, and Dr. Kashmira from the department also highlighted various aspects of bronchoscopy. ENT specialists from all medical colleges in Udaipur attended the PG Conclave 2024.
During the event, a live demonstration of bronchoscopy was conducted, where a foreign object lodged in the respiratory tract was removed, and postgraduate students were trained in the procedure. It is worth mentioning that bronchoscopy at PMC Hospital has successfully saved many children by removing foreign objects from their respiratory tracts, giving them a new lease on life.
