Udaipur: Dr. Atul Luhadiya, a renowned TB and chest disease specialist from Pacific Medical College and Hospital, Udaipur, was invited as a distinguished faculty member at the International Chest Conference 'Broncus-2025' held in Hyderabad. The conference saw the participation of prominent pulmonologists and respiratory disease specialists from across the world. The discussions at the event covered modern medical practices, the latest research, and treatment techniques.
During the conference, Dr. Atul Luhadiya, along with Dr. Venerino Pauleti from Italy and Dr. Juergen Hetzel from Switzerland, led a special session on bronchoscopy cryo and electro-surgical procedures. This technique has brought a revolutionary change to pulmonary medicine and is now being used for complex cases.
Dr. Luhadiya explained that the bronchoscopy cryo procedure is an advanced minimally invasive technique, utilizing cold gas (cryotherapy) to remove abnormal tissues, tumors, blood clots, or foreign bodies present in the lungs or respiratory tracts. This procedure is especially beneficial for patients with complex lung issues, where traditional treatments are difficult to administer.
