Udaipur: A team of doctors from the Department of Medicine at Pacific Medical College & Hospital successfully treated a 20-year-old woman who was 28 weeks pregnant, giving her a new lease on life. The team, led by Head of Department Dr. Virendra Goyal, included Dr. Jayesh Trivedi, Dr. Keyur Soni, Dr. Atul Gupta, Dr. Priya, Dr. Sohail, and Dr. Shubham.
The woman was admitted to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at PMCH due to severe high blood sugar, difficulty breathing, and dizziness. Given her critical condition, she was transferred to the ICU of the Medicine Department. Upon examination, she was diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis, a urinary tract infection, and typhoid fever.
Dr. Goyal stated that insulin injections, antibiotics, and other necessary medications were administered to stabilize her condition. Dr. Jayesh Trivedi mentioned that with prompt medical intervention and appropriate treatment, both the woman and her unborn baby were saved. After making a full recovery, she was discharged from the hospital in a healthy state.
