Udaipur: A two-day national conference on "Sustainable Development and Innovative Business Policies for Global Stability" was held at the Pacific University’s Institute of Management. The prestigious conference saw participation from scholars, researchers, educators, and industry experts from across the country, who presented their insights on the topic.

The inaugural session began with a welcome address by Prof. Dipin Mathur, Dean of the Faculty of Management, who emphasized the importance of continuous development. He highlighted that in today’s global scenario, business organizations must work while considering their environmental and social responsibilities. Prof. Mathur stressed that companies should adopt policies that not only focus on economic profits but also maintain a balance with society and the environment. He explained the relationship between sustainable development and entrepreneurship and encouraged young entrepreneurs to be socially and environmentally responsible.

The chief guest, Prof. Ajit Kumar from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, discussed global stability and the ecological impacts of business practices. He pointed out that issues like climate change, resource depletion, and pollution are not just concerns for environmentalists but also pose challenges to the long-term sustainability of business institutions. He emphasized adopting renewable energy and waste management initiatives.

Mr. Mangilal Lunawat, President of UCCI, discussed the economic aspects of continuous development, emphasizing how adopting innovation and green technologies can make business operations more sustainable and environmentally friendly. He presented successful international examples and highlighted how India is rapidly advancing in this direction.

Prof. Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, Chairman of UNESCO’s Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace, spoke about corporate social responsibility and business ethics, stressing that sustainable development cannot rely solely on government policies but must also be supported by the industry. He highlighted that companies need to prioritize ethical values and social welfare for long-term success.

Prof. K.P. Vengugopala Rao, Director of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, discussed the need for innovative business strategies, emphasizing that traditional business models are no longer sufficient in today’s competitive world. He encouraged companies to foster sustainable growth through innovation and digital transformation and provided examples of leading companies.

Prof. Hemant Kothari, Chairman of the Pacific Academy of Higher Education and Research University, informed the attendees about the various progressive activities conducted at the university and underscored the importance of such academic events for the continuous development of society and students. He wished the organizers success and congratulated them for hosting the event. He also mentioned that the institution organizes such seminars annually, providing students an opportunity to interact with prominent entrepreneurs and experts.

Prof. Pallavi Mehta, the organizing secretary of the seminar, shared that 350 researchers from over 140 renowned universities worldwide participated in the conference, including institutions from India, Nepal, Thailand, Dubai, and the UAE. Over 200 research papers were presented in both online and offline modes across 11 technical tracks covering Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, and Global Services.

Dr. Ali Yawar Reha, the coordinator of the seminar, expressed gratitude and mentioned that the goal of the conference was to bring together industry and academic experts to develop innovative business models for sustainable development. The organizers stressed the importance of continuing such dialogues in the future.

In the concluding session, various speakers emphasized that business organizations should not only focus on profit but also take on social and environmental responsibility. Students, researchers, and entrepreneurs actively participated in the discussions, raising questions and contributing to in-depth conversations.

The conference provided a new perspective for businesses, stressing the need to balance profit with responsibility. Through this dialogue, new policies and strategies were discussed, offering clear direction to future industries toward continuous development.
