Former UGC Chairman mandated Outcome Based Learning at SPSU

Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur organised two-day workshop on Outcome Based Education, e-Content and AI Tools on 18-19 July 2024. The workshop aimed at reshaping educational paradigms through Outcome Based Education (OBE), leveraging E-Content, and integrating AI Tools. In the inaugural address the Honourable Vice Chancellor, SPSU Prof.(Dr.) Prithvi Yadav emphasized the transformative potential of OBE in nurturing holistic learning experiences and preparing the students for real-world challenges. Eminent speaker Prof. Ved Prakash, former Chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC), highlighted the need for curriculum alignment with industry demands. Distinguished expert Prof. Vimal Rarh, INSA Best Teacher Awardee 2020, an edupreneur renowned for her pioneering work in educational technology, delved into the role of E-Content in fostering interactive and accessible learning environments.Prof.(Dr.) Prasun Chakrabarti, Director Research, briefed that in order to enhance collaborative initiatives an MoU between UGC Malviya Mission Teacher Training Course, University of Delhi and Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur was also signed during the workshop.The workshop acquainted faculty members with the principles of OBE, the implications of the National Education Policy(NEP) 2020, and innovative advancements in teaching-learning pedagogy. The participants gained a comprehensive understanding of OBE, NEP guidelines, Assessment tools, the integration of new pedagogical approaches with Artificial Intelligence(AI) and the importance of interdisciplinary in teaching learning to enhance their teaching effectiveness and student engagement. The hands-on sessions proved to be a valuable experience and cultivated an experience of continuous learning and innovation among the faculty members.
