SPSU Welcomes Students from Chiba University of Commerce Japan for Semester Exchange Program

Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur welcomed the students from Chiba University of Commerce (CUC) Japan for the semester exchange programme from August – October 2024. The Hon'ble President Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Udaipur extended his greetings to the CUC students and recalled the enduring relationship of 13 years between SPSU and CUC, Japan. He encouraged them to explore the world of innovation and emerge into the life long learning process. The Hon’ble Vice President & Head of Education Vertical, JK Cement Ltd Col (Dr.) Sanjay Sinha in the inaugural address lauded the cultural, economic and political connect between India and Japan. He urged the students to develop managerial acumen, understand the dynamic global economyand actively participate in cross-cultural academic journey, that would broaden their horizons and prepare them for the globalized workforce.
The exchange program shall engage the students with a unique multicultural learning experience through a diverse curriculum including Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Public Speaking and Corporate ethics, interactive workshops, historical visits and cultural activities. It also reflects SPSU’s commitment to fostering a multicultural learning environment and aligns with the university’s vision of preparing students to become global citizens who are well-equipped to contribute to an interconnected world.
The Dean, School of Management, Prof. Sadananda Prusty, Dean Research and Dean School of Engineering Prof. Prasun Chakrabarti, along with faculty members, motivated the CUC students by emphasizing interdisciplinary learning and the importance of integrating management and engineering principles. They encouraged students to engage in collaborative projects, participate in research initiatives, and develop critical thinking, problem-solvingand leadership skills to prepare for successful careers in the global market. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Shweta Lalwani, Head, School of Management.
