Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur celebrated ‘Ganesh Mahotsav’ with great devotion and joy over a span of five days from September 7 to September 11, 2024. The celebration was a tapestry of blissful events and spirited participation, reflecting the true essence of the occasion. The Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav’s visionary leadership and unwavering support inspired the students to organize the event with enthusiasm and dedication. His active participation and guidance throughout the event served as a powerful source of inspiration, instilling a deep sense of pride in upholding tradition and encouraging student participation. The festivities began with the auspicious Shree Ganesh Sthapana and were followed by a series of engaging events, including a Bhajan Sandhya featuring heartfelt performances of devotional songs by both students and faculty, a Rangoli competition showcasing artistic creativity, and a variety of cultural performances. Each day saw enthusiastic participation in the puja rituals and other cultural and devotional activities. The grand immersion (visarjan) of Lord Ganesha idol on Sept 11, 2024 marked a fitting and emotional conclusion to the five-day celebration. Amidst chants of "Ganpati Bappa Morya," the students, faculty, and staff came together in the vivacious procession with great reverence and joy. The Proctor Dr. Deepak Vyas, Dy. Dean Student welfare, Lt. Dr. D. S. Chouhan and Coordinator Student welfare Dr. Archana Gajbhiye coordinated the event. The heartfelt participation of students, faculty, and staff accentuates the university’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage while fostering a vibrant community spirit.
