Entrepreneurial ideas from Sangam University selected in MSMIE Hackathon 2.0.

Selected in SMSME Hackathon 2.0, organized by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) on International MSME Day at Science Bhavan in New Delhi. Seven ideas from Rajasthan, including Sangam University Bhilwara, IIT Jodhpur, and Amity University Jaipur, were chosen among the winners' list of selected ideas in the program. The selected ideas will receive financial assistance of up to 15 lakhs INR, supported by the MSME office, to approved host institutions (HI) to implement incubation ideas. Sangam University has organized several programs in recent years for entrepreneurship and skill development of students. In March 2023, Ram Pal Soni, Chairman of the Sangam Group, inaugurated the latest technology-equipped Business Incubation Center for the convenience of students. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Karunesh Saxena, congratulated the winning students and the government, reaffirming the university's commitment to providing opportunities to students. Dr. Saxena emphasized the importance of small industries, stating that MSME contributes approximately 30% to India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Students Naman Vyas and Vaibhav Acharya from Sangam University presented this idea. In this idea, students proposed establishing their venture by incorporating augmented and virtual reality. Describing the goal of establishing Sangam University as a host institution (HI) and business incubator (BI), Dr. Rajeev Mehta, the university's registrar, mentioned the university's commitment to providing every possible help to the youth of Bhilwara in the field of entrepreneurship. The committee formed under the chairmanship of Dr. Manoj Kumawat, Deputy Director of the Skill and Entrepreneurship Center established by Sangam University Bhilwara, completed the responsibilities of this idea hackathon within three months. Dr. Kumawat provided information about the Google certification program and the activities being carried out by the center to enhance students' entrepreneurial skills. The committee received support from Dr. Archana Agrawal, Dr. Vikas Somani, Mr. Ajay Suwalka, Dr. Chinmay, Dr. Rekha, Dr. Avneet, Mr. Vikram, Dr. Amit, and experts from various fields, Mr. Vikas Jain, Ms. Purva Jindal, Mr. Rahul Shandilya, and Mr. Gaurav Chaudhary. According to the guidelines of MSME, Sangam University Business Incubation Center will provide space, tools, and laboratory facilities for the selected idea and all kinds of support for its entrepreneurial activities. 

What are Hackathon and Business Incubation?
The primary objective of the MSME Idea Hackathon is to support MSME's entrepreneurship and managerial development through incubators. The institution that establishes business incubators and provides basic infrastructure and technical facilities to nurture new ideas is called a host institution (HI).
