Recently, students from the Geoinformatics Department at Sangam University successfully completed the prestigious UAS-AI Bootcamp 6.0 training course. Sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, this bootcamp was organized by IIT Indore under the "Swayan" project, aimed at capacity building for human development in the field of UAS. The intensive training took place in Indore, focusing on drone technology and its applications.
Participants were introduced to the concepts of aerodynamics, where they gained hands-on experience in assembling drones, conducting surveys using UAV systems, and acquiring essential technical skills related to drone operations. The program, spanning over 40 hours, integrated theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, providing participants with comprehensive training in this rapidly advancing field. The training concluded with an assessment of the students, and those who excelled received certificates of achievement in recognition of their skills and dedication.
Dr. Lokesh Kumar Tripathi, head of the Geoinformatics Department at Sangam University, coordinated the students' participation in the bootcamp. He remarked that the training was truly enriching, and the students demonstrated exceptional dedication. He expressed pride in their active involvement and skill development. The students' achievements received enthusiastic support from the university leadership, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Karunesh Saxena, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi, Registrar Prof. Rajeev Mehta, and Dean Prof. Preeti Mehta, who congratulated the students on their success.
