Bhilwara. In a thought-provoking discussion held at the Faculty of Management, Sangam University, the Cluster Head of Development Bank of Singapore (DBS), Mr. Gaurav Dighe, and Ms. Aditi Maliwal, shared their insights on the banking system and India-Singapore trade relations.
The event was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Karunesh Saxena, who highlighted the university’s academic environment and motivated the students. Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Manas Ranjan Panigrahi described such discussions as highly beneficial for students, while Registrar Professor Rajeev Mehta termed it a golden opportunity. Associate Dean Dr. Mukesh Sharma provided a brief overview of the department's achievements.
Mr. Gaurav Dighe, the keynote speaker, elaborated on the evolution of digital banking and the rising significance of artificial intelligence (AI) in the banking sector. He noted that DBS Bank, which began its operations in India 30 years ago, was the first to introduce digital transactions in the country.
Looking ahead, Mr. Dighe emphasized the increasing role of AI in shaping India’s banking future. He urged students to pursue AI-related certifications and education to equip themselves for emerging challenges and opportunities in the financial sector.
