Bhilwara : The School of Basic and Applied Sciences at Sangam University successfully organized a special expert lecture series featuring Dr. D.D. Ojha, Senior Scientist and Head of the Groundwater Department, Jodhpur. He is also a member of the High-Level Joint Hindi Advisory Committee of various ministries of the Government of India, including the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
The sessions focused on Ancient Indian Science and Invisible Pollution & Its Prevention. In the first session, Dr. Ojha highlighted India’s contributions to mathematics, astronomy, metallurgy, and medicine. The second session addressed air and water pollution, which pose significant threats to health and the environment despite being less visible. Dr. Ojha emphasized sustainable solutions and urged collective responsibility to tackle these challenges.
The event was graced by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Karunesh Saxena and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi, who emphasized the importance of such sessions in fostering scientific awareness and environmental consciousness. The Dean of the School of Basic and Applied Sciences elaborated on the objectives of the expert session series.
The event concluded with the felicitation of winners of various competitions held on National Science Day. The session was successfully hosted by MSc students Sakshi Bhati and Isha Gupta.
