Cleanliness and Labor Drive Kick Off "Swachhata Hi Seva" Campaign

Shri Ganganagar,  Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, various activities will be organized from September 17 to October 2, 2024, themed "Swabhav Swachhta, Sanskar Swachhta." In this context, a program was held at Nehru Park on Tuesday as part of the "Swabhav Swachhta, Sanskar Swachhta" campaign organized by the Municipal Council.

The chief guest, Ganganagar MLA Shri Jaideep Bihani, and District Collector Dr. Manju administered the "Swachhata Hi Seva" oath to elected representatives, officials, staff, and the public. After the national anthem, participants engaged in cleanliness drives, cleaning Nehru Park and its surroundings. Speakers encouraged everyone to maintain cleanliness in the city and incorporate it as a part of daily life.

The event was attended by Additional District Collector Shri Subhash Kumar, Sub-Divisional Officer Shri Ranjit Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shri Raghuveer Sharma, Municipal Council Chairperson Smt. Gagandeep Kaur, Municipal Commissioner Smt. Reena, councilors, municipal staff, scouts, guides, and other dignitaries.

Following the program, the District Collector, Chairperson, Commissioner, and other officials inspected the STP located in Guru Nanak Basti. The District Collector reviewed the drainage of wastewater and provided necessary directives to ensure the drainage system operates smoothly. Subsequently, he inspected Indira Vatika and instructed to prepare proposals regarding the maintenance of cleanliness in the park, care of trees and plants, swings, toilets, and beautification of the park.
