Sri Ganganagar, Ganganagar MLA Shri Jai Deep Bihani met with Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma on Friday to present a proposal for establishing a cancer hospital in Ganganagar district with an estimated cost of ₹150 crore. The proposed hospital aims to provide cancer treatment facilities to local residents without placing additional financial strain on the state treasury.
During the meeting, MLA Shri Bihani highlighted the growing number of cancer patients in Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, and the bordering Punjab region. He mentioned that patients from these areas are currently forced to travel long distances, often to Bikaner, for cancer treatment, as there are no facilities available locally.
In light of this, Shri Bihani also presented a broader proposal for an investment of ₹1500 crore in the region, under the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit. The meeting concluded with a cordial exchange of sweets, as the Chief Minister congratulated MLA Shri Bihani for his initiative. Shri Lav Kamra was also present during the meeting.
