Jaipur/Sri Ganganagar : Newly appointed members of the Guru Nanak Dev Sikh Welfare Board assumed their responsibilities today at the Rajasthan Madrasa Board building in Jaipur.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Guru Nanak Dev Sikh Welfare Board, Mr. Paramjeet Singh Randhawa, and Vice-Chairman Mr. Harpal Singh Rana, extended their congratulations to the newly arrived members of the board. Mr. Randhawa stated that the government of Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Gehlot is continuously working for the upliftment of all communities. Establishing this board is an unprecedented initiative by the Rajasthan government to connect the Sikh community with the mainstream.
He expressed his belief that together, they would set new standards for development within the board and make every possible effort for the all-around progress of the Sikh community. Various schemes will be proposed immediately for the economic growth, upliftment, and development of different sections of the Sikh community. Additionally, new efforts will be made to promote Sikh community arts, culture, and modernize traditional businesses.
He urged members to provide important and progressive suggestions to achieve the goals of Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Gehlot's Vision-2030. He emphasized the need to brainstorm deeply on how ongoing plans for the Sikh community can be better implemented. Your suggestions will help improve the board's functioning.
It is noteworthy that on the occasion of Baisakhi festival, Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Gehlot had approved the establishment of the Guru Nanak Dev Sikh Welfare Board for the special social, economic, and cultural development of the Scheduled Minority Sikh community. The department had released the list of nominated members of the board just last Friday.
Present on this occasion were Mr. Jameel Ahmed Quraishi, Director of the Minority Affairs Department, Dr. Mahmood Ali Khan, Secretary of Guru Nanak Dev Sikh Welfare Board, and other officials and staff.
