Animal Health Camp Organized in Sri Ganganagar by Animal Science Center and KRIBHCO

Sri Ganganagar: Under the aegis of Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS), Bikaner, and in collaboration with KRIBHCO Suratgarh, an Animal Health Camp was held on Wednesday in the village of Jankidaswala. The camp was aimed at raising awareness and providing free veterinary health services for various diseases affecting livestock.

The event was graced by Dr. Maina Kumari and Dr. Manish Kumar Sen from the Animal Science Center, and Karanpal Singh, Amit Bishnoi, and livestock assistant Vijaypal from KRIBHCO. Dr. Maina Kumari welcomed the livestock farmers and extensively discussed the training programs offered by the Animal Science Center Suratgarh, including methods for planting and feeding Azolla grass. Detailed information on the importance of deworming medications, vaccinations, mineral mixtures, and health supplements for livestock was also provided.

Dr. Manish Kumar Sen elaborated on the seasonal diseases such as Foot and Mouth Disease, Strangles, and Limping Fever, discussing preventive measures and treatments. Karanpal Singh expressed gratitude towards the Animal Science Center Suratgarh and encouraged farmers to engage with the center to benefit from various programs. He urged the livestock owners to remain in contact with veterinarians for regular treatments and to stay informed about new developments in animal care.

The camp concluded with the distribution of deworming medications, mineral salt mixtures, and parasitic control medicines to the attendees. A total of 55 livestock farmers benefited from the camp, enhancing their capability to manage animal health effectively.
