Various Programs to be Held on Ganganagar Foundation Day

 Shri Ganganagar : A meeting of the District Tourism Development Committee was held on Monday in the Collectorate auditorium, chaired by District Collector Dr. Manju. During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the celebration of Ganganagar District Foundation Day on October 26, 2024. The District Collector emphasized the need for the Tourism Department to prepare a necessary action plan, involving district-level officials as well.

While discussing the various programs to be organized on District Foundation Day, the District Collector highlighted the importance of developing border tourism, as well as increasing tourism-related activities in Hindumalkot, Shivpur Head, and Naggi areas. Both the Tourism Department and district-level officials were urged to create an effective action plan. The establishment of a picnic spot and boating site at Shivpur Head was also discussed.

The meeting covered the involvement of students, youth, and the general public in cultural programs, painting competitions, wall paintings, and other events for the Foundation Day celebrations. The District Collector instructed the Tourism Department to outline various programs to ensure a grand celebration, emphasizing the need for public participation. Events should involve local artists to promote tourism-related activities within the district.

Additionally, arrangements for lighting at key locations and proper cleanliness were discussed. Programs themed around the ongoing "Operation Seema Sankalp" for drug de-addiction were suggested, along with cultural evenings in the sand dunes of Suratgarh and programs in the Naggi area of Shri Karanpur in collaboration with the BSF.
