Sri Ganganagar, A district-level public hearing and vigilance committee meeting was held at the VC Room of the Collectorate on Thursday, under the guidance of the District Collector, Dr. Manju. The meeting was organized to address public grievances and provide swift solutions in a transparent and sensitive manner, in alignment with the Rajasthan government's commitment to addressing public concerns.
During the public hearing, Dr. Manju emphasized that departmental officers should handle public issues with sensitivity and urgency. A total of 95 cases were presented during the hearing.
Key issues discussed included a complaint from a Suratgarh resident regarding a blocked path in an approved irrigation canal. The District Collector instructed the Suratgarh Tehsildar to inspect the site and take necessary action, ensuring the path is cleared in accordance with regulations. Regarding a damaged road in Padampur-Gajsinghpur (31 BB), the Collector directed the SE PWD to carry out patchwork repairs promptly. Additionally, the EO of Gajsinghpur was instructed to address issues related to stray animals, garbage disposal, and drainage system cleaning.
Other issues addressed included the removal of encroachments in Sadhuwali Panchayat, the selection process for Anganwadi workers, land allotment issues in Suratgarh, and the removal of illegal siphons in Padampur. The District Collector also instructed officials to resolve cases related to water contamination in government canals and provide benefits under the PM Awas Yojana. Specific actions were directed to various officials, including the SE Discom and the BDO of Suratgarh.
In the review meeting, Dr. Manju stressed the importance of timely and quality resolution of issues and directed that cases should not remain pending for extended periods on the contact portal. She emphasized that all district-level and sub-district-level officers ensure that public grievances are resolved appropriately, as per the state government's intent, and that cases from the public hearing are addressed before the next session.
The meeting was attended by ADM Administration Mrs. Reena, ADM Vigilance Mr. Narendra Pal Singh, District Council CEO Mr. Subhash Kumar, ASP Mr. Raghuveer Sharma, SDM Mr. Ranjeet Kumar, Assistant Director of Public Services Mr. Rishabh Jain, Secretary of the Urban Development Trust Mr. Ashok Kumar Asija, and other officials, with sub-district-level officers connecting through VC.
