Governor Bhagwat will preside; 1,181 students to be awarded degrees
42 meritorious students to receive medals; Senior Scientist to deliver the convocation address
Udaipur, The 18th grand convocation ceremony of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 21st December 2024, at 10:45 AM in the Vivekananda Auditorium, located on the university campus. The ceremony will be presided over by Rajasthan’s Honorable Governor and Chancellor, Shri Haribhau Bhagwat. Renowned scientist and former Vice-Chancellor of Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Dr. Amarnath Mukhopadhyay, will deliver the convocation address.
Highlights of the Convocation
Degrees to be Awarded:
A total of 1,181 students will be awarded degrees, including 790 male and 391 female students.
Degrees will be conferred upon 938 undergraduates, 181 postgraduates, and 62 Ph.D. scholars.
Medal Winners:
42 outstanding students will receive medals, with 24 female and 18 male recipients.
For the first time, the Chancellor’s Medal will be presented in a beautifully designed, unique frame.
Key Features of the Ceremony
Each degree will be presented in an attractive flap for the first time.
Degrees will include a barcode for instant access to the recipient’s details and a unique university code for authentication.
Gold medalists’ degrees will feature gold-embossed lettering for an elegant appearance.
To ensure uniformity, all students and faculty will attend the ceremony in white/cream-colored attire.
Students from affiliated colleges will wear specific badges and stoles to signify their institutions.
Program Schedule
The Governor will be welcomed with a Guard of Honor by NCC cadets upon arrival.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka will present the university’s annual report.
Two special publications, highlighting the university’s achievements over the past two years, will be unveiled by the Governor.
Dr. Amarnath Mukhopadhyay will deliver the convocation lecture, followed by the Governor’s presidential address.
The ceremony will begin and conclude with the national anthem.
Preparation for the Event
The preparations for the convocation are being overseen by Registrar Shri Sudhanshu Singh, Convocation Coordinator Dr. Lokesh Gupta, and Controller of Examinations Dr. Ram Hari Meena.
