Guru Purnima Celebrated at Gayatri Shaktipeeth Chittorgarh

As in previous years, Guru Purnima was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Gayatri Shaktipeeth in Chittorgarh this year. Over 1000 Gayatri devotees from across the Chittorgarh district participated in the event. The celebrations included a five-fire Gayatri Mahayagna, Guru Puja, and other rituals. On this auspicious day, around 50 individuals received Guru initiation. As Guru Dakshina, everyone pledged to abandon one of their vices and adopt a virtue, vowing to follow the righteous path.

Jagdish Joshi of Gayatri Shaktipeeth Chittorgarh praised the greatness of the Guru, stating that without a Guru, one cannot attain true knowledge. By seeking refuge in the Guru, a disciple imbibes greatness and goes on to perform extraordinary deeds. For example, Swami Vivekananda and Shri Samarth Guru Ramdas received their Guru's blessings and brought Indian culture to the world stage. Similarly, the disciples of Acharya Ram Sharma, through the Gayatri Parivar, are awakening divinity in every home and working globally.

Ramesh Chandra Purohit mentioned that, as in previous years, over 300 students from classes 5th to 12th and the staff of Lakshya Central Academy, Bassi, participated in the Yagna and Guru initiation ceremony held a day before on July 20. The rituals were conducted by Shankar Lal Salvi and Devi Lal Gujar. The school's director, Ashok Soni, along with the entire staff, was present at the ceremony.
