In the UNESCO conference held in Paris, Professor Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, the Chairman of the Pacific Group of Universities and the head of the Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Peace and Sustainable Development, Asia-Pacific, will present the institute's annual report on November 11th. The institute, which is run by UNESCO, has trained 400,000 students, 150,000 teachers, and 35,000 young people from 10 countries in the past year. The Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Peace and Sustainable Development is the only Category I institute under UNESCO. This institute provides training on empathy, biodiversity, and sustainable development to teachers, students, and youth.
Due to the Diwali festivities, Professor Sharma will present this report personally in Paris through an online video message. The institute offers this training directly and through educational institutions in these countries. The institute's executive board includes members and chairs from various countries, such as the United States, France, Indonesia, etc., with Professor Bhagwati Prakash Sharma serving as the Chairman of the Executive Board.
