The National ASLIP Best Progressive Librarian Award, 2024, is awarded to Dr. Deepak Kumar Srivastava.

At the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Microbial Technology Institute (CSIR-IM Tech), Dr. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Divisional Librarian and Head of the Government Public Library in Kota and Nodal Officer of Public Libraries in the Kota Division, will be honored by the Association of Senior Library Professionals (ASLIP).

 Dr. Srivastava has been recognized for his exceptional contributions to public libraries in the country in 2023 and will be included in the "Wall of Fame" of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), the world's largest library organization. He will receive the National ASLIP Best Progressive Librarian Award during the ASLIP Conclave - 2024.

 This announcement was made on Thursday by R.P. Kumar, Chairperson of the ASLIP Award Selection Committee. It is noteworthy that Dr. Srivastava has been honored for his outstanding contributions to the field of public libraries in India.

 Additionally, Dr. Srivastava was appointed as a member of the committee formed for the revision of the Indian Standard Guidelines for Public Libraries, IS 15339: 2003, established by the Bureau of Indian Standards in 2003. He is the first library professional from Rajasthan to be nominated for this responsibility. Recently, Dr. Deepak Kumar Srivastava was also included in the list of the top 10 next-generation librarians in the country.
