Police Operation Leads to Arrests and Seizure of ₹90,700 in Kota City*

*Kota, Rajasthan*: In a significant crackdown on illegal gambling activities in Kota city, the City Superintendent of Police (CSP) and a joint team from the District Special Task Force (DSTF) carried out a successful operation. The operation resulted in the apprehension of six individuals involved in gambling, and a total of ₹90,700 was seized from their possession.

CSP Sharad Choudhary stated that the special campaign against unlawful activities and gambling in Kota city was initiated due to the prevailing menace of illegal activities. Under the guidance of Bhagwat Singh Hingad, Additional Police Commissioner of Kota City, and Dharmveer Singh, Police Deputy Superintendent of the fifth district of Kota city, the team was led by Jitendra Singh Shekhawat, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Borkheda police station. Neeraj Kumar Gupta, in charge of the DSTF team, provided essential information for the operation.

Based on the received information, on September 9, 2023, the team conducted a raid in Bajrang Nagar, Gali No. 2, Anjani Property, where individuals were involved in gambling activities. The team successfully apprehended six suspects and seized ₹90,700 in cash, which was presumably being used for gambling.

During this operation, Vijendra Singh Headkani played a crucial role in coordinating the team's efforts.
