City SP Sharad Chaudhary's team apprehended a drug trafficker and seized 18 kilograms of opium from his possession in Kota City. Providing information, City SP Sharad Chaudhary mentioned that concerns were raised about the illegal drug trade in a meeting held because of the upcoming elections.
As a result, Kota City Police has continuously tried to curb the illegal drug trade. In this regard, Shri Bhagwat Singh Hingad, Additional Police Superintendent, is supervising the campaign against illegal drugs in all police stations of Kota City under the supervision of the nearest superintendent. Under this initiative, checkpoints are set up, and effective preventive action is directed for patrol and interception.
In this sequence, Ranpur Police Station, Kota City Police, under the leadership of Probationary Probationer Shri Revatiramana SI, along with CI Chaturth Shri Harshraj Singh Khairda and Shri Balveer Singh Punia, Police Sub-Inspector, carried out checking during a road check on Jhalawar Road.
During this, a Rajasthan Roadways bus was inspected, and illegal opium weighing 18 kilograms was recovered from Ashok Vishnoi, a resident of Jodhpur, who was searched. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
