Udaipur: The three-day 76th Urs of Hazrat Ganj Shaheeda Baba will conclude this evening with the traditional Kul prayers. Mohsin Haider informed that the second day of the Urs, observed on Tuesday, witnessed various rituals and offerings.
The Dargah Committee, led by President Gulam Moinuddin Qadri Raja Bhai, along with members Javed Khan, Nafees Khan, Irfan Khan Chhannu, Yusuf Khan, Shaukat Hussain, Intikhab Alam, Sahil Sheikh, Bilal Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Mohammad Rais, Samdani, Shadab Raza, Haji Parvez, Naeem Khan, Hasnu Sheikh, and other youth committee members, presented flowers, itr, and chadar at the shrine. Devotees participating in the Urs performed Fateha Khwani over milk porridge as a gesture of gratitude for their fulfilled wishes. The event also included the distribution of langar and tabarruk among the attendees.
The second day also featured soulful performances by Udaipur's renowned Qawwali artists, Rafique Mastana Warsi and Mastana Akhlaq Sultani, who enthralled the audience with kalam such as “Meri Baat Ban Gayi Hai Teri Baat Karte Karte...” Yusuf Farooq Sabri Qawwal Party from Jaora, Madhya Pradesh, added to the spiritual fervor by presenting Hamd, Naat, and Manqabat in honor of the revered saints. The evening concluded with the ceremonial Ghusl and Sandal rituals, performed by committee members and devotees at the Dargah.
Concluding Ceremony with Kul Prayers Today
President Gulam Moinuddin Qadri Raja Bhai informed that on Wednesday, after the Zuhr prayers, Qawwali sessions will continue with various parties presenting their soulful renditions at the Mehfil-e-Sama. The Urs will officially conclude with the Kul prayers to be recited by Maulana Babul Hussain following the Asr prayers this evening.
