Udaipur, September 20: The quarterly meeting of the District-level Review Committee, held under the chairmanship of Shaillesh Surana, the Additional District Collector, was organized on Wednesday at the District Council Auditorium with the focus on the guidance provided by the leading banks. During the meeting, discussions and progress reviews were conducted regarding the annual target of various government schemes, savings deposit ratios, agricultural loans, Jan-Dhan Yojana, Jan Suraksha Insurance Scheme, financial literacy, and other government initiatives.
In the opening address, Rajesh Jain, the prominent District Manager, welcomed everyone and highlighted that in the first quarter of this year, the district has achieved a savings deposit ratio of 68.66%. Furthermore, a total loan distribution of 3230 crore rupees has been made by banks against the allocated target of 8485 crore rupees, which accounts for 38% of the set target.
Chairing the meeting, Shaillesh Surana, the Additional District Collector, urged all banks to increase the flow of loans in the agricultural sector. He emphasized that banks should work on achieving the set goals while fulfilling their social and economic responsibilities. Additionally, he directed banks that have shown relatively slower progress in the savings deposit ratio to improve their performance in the upcoming quarter.
During the meeting, departmental officials provided information about various provisions, loan targets, and approvals related to schemes like agricultural loans, Kisan Credit Card Scheme, KCC, animal husbandry, and fisheries, Prime Minister Employment Generation Program, Chief Minister's Small Industry Promotion Scheme, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Dalit Entrepreneur Promotion Scheme, PoP Scheme, National Rural Livelihood Mission, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Urban Livelihood Mission, Indira Gandhi Urban Credit Card Scheme, and more.
The meeting witnessed active participation from K.K. Gupta, Regional Manager of NABARD, D.R.M. Anadi Bhatt of BOB, Mohan Jakhar from Guiding Bank, along with representatives from various other banks and government departments.
