Udaipur: In a significant move aimed at curbing the production, storage, and transportation of illegal liquor in the state, the Excise Department's team took action and seized 101 cartons of illicit English liquor from a truck near Amberi Pulia. This operation, conducted under the guidance of the Additional Excise Commissioner Shweta Fagedia, Excise Officer Devendra Dashora, and District Excise Officer Mukesh Kalal, followed a tip-off provided by an informant.
Acting on the information, an interception was made, and a mini Tata truck was halted for inspection. During the search, 101 cartons of various brands of English liquor were discovered concealed under iron sheets in the truck. The estimated value of the seized liquor and the truck is approximately 10 lakh rupees.
The accused is now wanted under Section 19/54, 14/57, and 54 (a) of the Rajasthan Excise Act, 1950, and an initial investigation is underway. The individual involved in this case is currently on the run.
The team involved in this operation included Prabhulal, Kesar Singh, Mohan Nath, along with the seized goods. Special recognition goes to soldiers Manoj Kumar and Ramrup Gurjar for their contributions to the operation.
