Udaipur : A seminar was organized on Hindi Day in collaboration with the Rajkiya Ahad Museum and INTEK Udaipur Chapter. The event took place in the presence of students and teachers from Pandit Khemraj Government Higher Primary School. The seminar featured participation from Prof. Mahesh Sharma, Dr. Sunil Vashisht, and coordinator Lalit Pandey.
Senior Assistant Mahendra Singh Rathore from the Rajkiya Ahad Museum began the seminar by highlighting the importance of using one’s native language. Prof. Mahesh Sharma emphasized that the progress of a language depends on its widespread use and that languages not used daily eventually become extinct. Dr. Sunil Vashisht discussed the government's efforts to promote the official language in public enterprises and expressed concern that privatization is gradually slowing down this process.
Prof. Lalit Pandey noted that Hindi is now the third most spoken language in the world. The growing middle and upper-class demographic around the world has made Hindi essential for multinational and national companies. Although Hindi is becoming prevalent in electronic media, efforts must continue to ensure that it remains relevant in academic fields such as science, technology, and medicine.
The seminar was conducted by high school teacher Ram Singh, with senior museum worker Mahendra Singh Rathore offering a welcome address. The event was attended by Ravindra Singh Chouhan, Manju Pokharna, Bina, Anita, Snehalta, Durga Shankar, Rajesh Salvi, Gulab Singh, and Sohanlal. During the seminar, INTEK Udaipur Chapter also announced awards for the winners of an essay competition held on the occasion.
