Two-Day Refresher Program Commences in the Science Department Library of the University

Bhilwara: The responsibility of librarians has been expanded in managing endless information, says Prof. Panigrahi, Vice Chancellor of Sangam University. In today's inaugural session of the two-day refresher program, organized in the science department library of the university starting from March 15, 2024, the significant role of librarians in providing immediate access to desired information in the modern era was highlighted. The chief guest, Prof. H.B. Nandwana, former Regional Director of Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University - Kota, emphasized that meeting the increasing demand for information rather than just books is imperative for librarians. Dr. Anil Sharma, the department head, stressed the necessity for librarians to be technologically proficient amidst growing competition and the era of digital resources. Dr. Avadhesh Jaohri also shared his thoughts on the occasion. The program was conducted by Abhishek Parashar, and thanks were given by Pramila Chaube.
