Sri Ganganagar - In accordance with the directives of the Election Commission of India, as the Assembly General Elections of 2023 are set to take place on November 25, 2023, the day of polling, a voter awareness campaign is in progress, encouraging citizens to step out of their homes and cast their votes.
On Thursday, the District Collector, Mr. Anshdeep, and the Police Superintendent, Mr. Vikas Sharma, flagged off vehicles carrying the voter awareness song through the garbage collection vehicles at the Collectorate premises. The District Collector shared that the "Come, Cast Your Vote, Build the Nation" song is being broadcasted through loudspeakers installed on garbage collection vehicles in all local bodies. This initiative aims to raise awareness about voting among the public, encouraging everyone to exercise their voting rights on the upcoming Polling Day, November 25, as they venture out of their homes to visit the polling stations.
Present at the event were the Swachh Prabharis, the Municipal Commissioner, Mr. Yashpal Ahuja, the Assistant Director of Public Relations, Mr. Anil Kumar Shakya, the Additional Officer in charge of MCMC & Ped News Cells, Mr. Ramkumar Rajpurohit, Mr. Prem Chugh, and other officials.
