In a remarkable achievement, students from St. Anthony's School, Udaipur, made history by securing a place in the national-level competition during the C.B.S.E. West Zone Chess Competition held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Under the under-11 and under-19 girls' categories, the students showcased an outstanding performance and emerged as runners-up, earning their selection for the upcoming national-level competition.
Principal William D'Souza shared that under the guidance of Coach Vikas Sahu, the trained team of Khushi Menaria, Kinjal Jain, Vanshika Bandwal, Chahana Jain, Paridhi Lodha, Vidhi Vyas, Kinjal Bhavsar, and Kanishka Padanya achieved this remarkable feat. Their stellar performance paved the way for their selection in the national-level C.B.S.E. Chess Competition to be held from November 23 to 27, 2023, in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The entire school staff, including teachers and officials, congratulated all the selected players and extended their best wishes to their parents. Additionally, they commended the excellent performance of other students from various categories, including Rudransh Bharadwaj, Arnav Bhatt, Sulakshy Jain, Param Vadhwani, Tushar Damor, Pranav Gandhi, Aniruddh Sahu, and Hardik, who showcased remarkable skills and made the school proud by securing a place in the national competition.
