Jaisalmer, District Collector Pratap Singh has instructed the district’s revenue officials to promptly address land allocation issues related to the 2024-25 budget announcements. He emphasized the need for immediate action on cases of encroachment on government land and directed the Tehsildars to ensure that no encroachment occurs in their respective areas. Patwaris have been instructed to prevent encroachments under any circumstances. The Collector also stressed the importance of taking strict action in cases registered under Section 91 and penalizing habitual encroachers to deter further violations.
The instructions were given during a meeting held at the District Collectorate's conference room, attended by Additional District Collector Munneeram Bagdiya, Additional Commissioner Settlement Jitendra Singh Naruaka, Sub-Divisional Officer Pawan Kumar, and other revenue and settlement officials.
Timely Resolution of Boundary Disputes
During the meeting, the District Collector reviewed cases of boundary disputes and instructed officials to resolve these cases promptly. He also emphasized the need for efficiency in handling name mutation cases and directed that issues registered on the contact portal be resolved within the stipulated time to provide relief to the complainants.
He conducted a detailed review of pending cases in revenue courts and instructed that outstanding cases be resolved in a timely manner to provide relief to the litigants. The Collector emphasized the importance of prioritizing cases received from the Lokayukta, Human Rights Commission, and Chief Minister's Office.
Prepare List of Affected Families Due to Excessive Rainfall
The Collector directed Tehsildars to prepare and send a list of families whose homes have been damaged due to excessive rainfall. He stressed that this work should be done with full transparency and without any delay, instructing Patwaris to ensure accuracy in the list of affected families.
Be Vigilant on Every Incident
The District Collector urged revenue officials to maintain vigilance over every incident in their areas. He also instructed Tehsildars to submit timely lists of eligible farmers for agricultural subsidy assistance.
Additional Instructions
Additional District Collector Munneeram Bagdiya presented agenda points during the meeting and directed timely decisions on pending cases in revenue courts. He reported that out of 338 boundary dispute cases, 196 have been resolved and instructed to expedite the resolution of the remaining cases.
