Life Renewed After Three Months"

In Udaipur, doctors at the Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital in Umarda have given a fresh lease on life to a patient suffering from paralysis after three months of being on a ventilator.

PIMS Chairman Ashish Agrawal stated that 17-year-old Pooja Katara from Hitara, Dungarpur, was admitted due to paralysis. At the time of admission, the patient had no strength in both her arms, legs, and diaphragm (the muscle used for breathing), making her incapable of breathing on her own. As a result, the patient was put on a ventilator. After three months of intensive care in the Pediatric Department, supervised by Dr. Vivek Parashar, Dr. Rahul Khatri, Dr. Kamlesh Shaktawat from the Anesthesia Department, Dr. Amit Kumar, and the ICU nursing staff at PIMS Hospital, she has recovered and returned home in good health. Agrawal mentioned that the entire treatment of the patient was provided free of cost under the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana of the state government.

PIMS Hospital in Umarda is well-equipped with the latest facilities and is making a significant contribution to the field of healthcare in the Udaipur region.
