Udaipur, Pacific College of Occupational Therapy at Pacific Medical University celebrated World Autism Day today. The theme for World Autism Awareness Day 2024 is 'Color' because each individual has a unique color representing their personality, strengths, and challenges.
Dr. Vishal Sharma, the Principal of the college, explained that autism spectrum disorder is a neurological condition where individuals struggle with social interactions. Symptoms of this disorder start showing in childhood, making it difficult for children to engage with others. Those dealing with this disorder often face various challenges including depression, anxiety, and difficulties in sleeping.
On this occasion, students were educated about autism spectrum disorder, and a awareness rally was organized on the university campus. The entire staff of the college participated in the event.
