Udaipur,  A one-day national seminar on "National Education Policy 2020 and the Indian Knowledge System, Historiography, and Philosophy" was inaugurated on May 23 at the Bhupal Nobles University auditorium. The event began with a Saraswati Vandana and the institution's anthem. The keynote speaker, Prof. Shashikant Bhatt, emphasized the historical significance of the Indian knowledge tradition. He highlighted ancient institutions like Takshashila, Nalanda, and Vallabhi, where admission was granted only after an interview with the chancellor. Prof. Bhatt stated that India's historical knowledge system has contributed to the development of exemplary citizens.

The core of the National Education Policy (NEP) is to restore Indian values and traditions while fostering the growth of a true human being. The NEP aims not merely to confer degrees but to ensure the holistic development of students. Prof. Vaghela emphasized the importance of considering oral traditions in historiography and highlighted the various chronological systems and scripts used in India. He asserted that India's historiographical tradition is stronger than that of many other countries.

Dr. Mahendra Singh Agaria, the chief guest and Minister of Vidya Pracharini Sabha, remarked that the primary objective of the Indian knowledge tradition is to create better human beings. Understanding and integrating Indian culture into one's life is the core aim of the NEP. He advocated for continuous dialogue to build a better society and nation. Prof. (Col.) Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, Chairperson of Bhupal Nobles University, presided over the program and stated that true knowledge is that which nurtures human values. He stressed the need to impart good values to future generations and introduced various features of the Indian knowledge tradition, asserting that Indian youth should be acquainted with profound philosophical insights.
